Fablyn walkthrough
How to create your first video
Start with a draft. Check the words and stills before spending any rendering minutes.
Describe your idea in Studio
Use the Fablyn assistant with your welcome AI credits or a paid Studio subscription. You use it right here, without connecting another service.
- Open Studio and sign in with the code sent to your email. Check your available AI credits in Account.
- On the Wall, describe what you want to make: who it is for, what they should understand and any words or facts to include. Choose the shape and add your logo or photo if you want.
- Review the maximum AI credits shown. Requests within your spending limit can run; confirm a larger request only when you want it to proceed.
- Open the saved Video. Ask for changes in its Thread, beside the Video on a desktop or in the Thread tab on a phone.
- Check Stills. When ready, review the narration cost and rendering minutes, render, then watch and approve the result before downloading.
Welcome AI credits are a one-time gift and need no subscription. Studio includes 300 AI credits each paid billing month. Newly generated narration uses the same balance. Reusing unchanged narration costs no AI credits. See the plan and top-up.
Start with a design you like
- Browse the homepage Wall. Choose an industry if you want a more focused set of starting designs.
- Open a design to see its three scenes. Choose your colours, then select Use this design.
- Sign in with the code sent to your email. Studio opens your chosen design as an editable Video, keeping the shape and colours you selected.
- In Design, select words on the canvas or in the outline to change them. Replace the sample details with your own and select Save revision.
- Open Stills to check the result. Approve Slides to download pictures, or review the narration and rendering allowance before making a Video.
Choosing and editing a design uses no AI credits or rendering minutes. You can ask the Fablyn assistant for changes with available welcome AI credits or a paid Studio subscription, or connect your own agent.
Use a video you already have
- Open a Video in Studio, choose Design, select the scene you want and choose Add video.
- Choose an MP4 file from your computer, or a video already in your Library. Use H.264 video with optional AAC sound, up to 120 seconds and 25 MB. If your phone exports HEVC, export it again using H.264.
- In the inspector, choose the start and end, fit the whole picture or fill and crop the edges. Existing scene text stays above the picture.
- Sound starts off. Choose Keep original sound if you want it, and adjust its volume. The scene controls how long the video appears; it holds the final picture when the trimmed range ends, or you can repeat the range.
- Select Save revision, check Stills, then render and review as usual.
To start a new Video from a file, add it in Library → Assets and choose Make a video. Uploading and editing uses no AI credits; rendering uses your available Video minutes. A connected agent can also upload the file through MCP if its client can send file bytes.
Or start with your agent
To have an assistant write a new Video, follow Connect your agent and allow it to write compositions. Then use the walkthrough and brief below.

Make your first video with an agent
- Ask for a first draft. Enable Fablyn in your assistant’s conversation and send the brief below. Your assistant should save a Video called My first video. You do not need to write code.
- Find it in Studio. Open the Wall, where your Videos appear. Reload if the new Video has not appeared, then open it by name. A description in your assistant’s reply is not a saved Video.
- Check the stills. Open the Video’s Stills tab and select Make the stills if needed. Check the words, layout and any warnings. Stills are pictures of your Video before you render it; checking them uses no rendering minutes.
- Ask for a change. For example: “In My first video, change the second heading to Share the agenda early. Keep everything else the same.” Your agent saves a new revision. Return to Studio to review it.
- Render when you are ready. In the Stills tab, review the minutes shown in the Video section, then select Render. This draft is silent. To add a voice, first ask your agent to add narration and review the words. Saving a draft does not start a render.
- Watch, approve and download. When rendering finishes, open the Video tab, watch the result and approve it. Download the MP4; narrated Videos also have captions and a transcript.
Copy this first-video brief
Create a short, silent Fablyn video called “My first video” about preparing for a meeting. Use three scenes: set a clear goal, share an agenda, and agree on next steps. Use only text and simple shapes. Save it and show me its stills. Do not generate narration, render, or approve anything.
Once this works, replace the topic with your own. Tell your agent who will watch, what they should understand, and the words, colours and fonts you want.
Want slides instead?
In the Stills tab, review the stills and select Approve the slides. Download a PDF or PNGs without rendering a video. Slides use no rendering minutes.
If you get stuck
If your assistant cannot see Fablyn, run the connection check and troubleshooting steps. If it says it saved a Video but you cannot find it, check that Studio is signed in to the same Fablyn account you connected.
